Rachel Bahler is an accomplished actress and singer. After college Rachel began her career in New York City and starred in three national tours, most notably as Eden Brent in the First National Tour of Woody Allen’s BULLETS OVER BROADWAY directed by Susan Stroman and Jeff Whiting.
In 2017 she launched her international career as a lead soloist for AIDA cruises. Since then Rachel has furthered her career in Germany while still maintaining roots in the United States. Currently she stars as the opera singer, Violetta, in the international premiere of the Broadway musical PRETTY WOMAN at Stage Theater an der Elbe in Hamburg, Germany.
Rachel is best known for her quirky sense of humor and comedic timing, as well as her immense vocal versatility, with a range of over three octaves. Her voice teacher jokingly refers to her voice type as “Baritone with Soprano Extension.”
She is comfortable singing both opera and musical theater and has a remarkable ability to adapt to new styles. Rachel’s roots in the Southern U.S. give her true authenticity and joy in singing country music, and we mustn’t overlook her secret ability to rap some Pitbull.
Rachel trained in improv comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York after majoring in Vocal Performance at UNC-CH and Musical Theater at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, graduating cum laude. Go Blue!
CURRENTLY: Rachel is a "super cover" at Mamma Mia! das Musical at the Stage Theater Neue Flora in Hamburg, Germany where she covers Donna, Tanja, and Rosie. (Meine Gute!) Get tickets to the show or click media to see her in action!
